Well, after 5 months of full development... the first Aspir Windows 10 shell-based version is finally here! With the help of Double Commander and other open-source programs, I have finally created a fully independent version of the Aspir shell for Windows 10. This project has required a great deal of effort and dedication, and now the reward is here. This version of Aspir includes: - Custom Theme Saves: No need to reconfigure your settings every time you use Aspir. - Enhanced Explorer: Now based on Double Commander for better file management. - Integrated Web Search: Simply type a URL or a search term to open your favorite browser. - Bug Fixes: Includes the fix for the media player issue and other stability improvements. Thank you to everyone who stayed with us on this journey. This is not the end... more updates will be coming soon, very soon. Disclaimer & Project Nature Aspir Shell is a non-profit project created for the community. CC BY-NC-ND 4.0 As this is a shell replaceme...

Aspir Operating System

Aspir is a batch-based app that simulates an operating system. It is currently under development and is open source.

Github oficial repository

Aspir is based on the Batch language.

A scripting language used in operating systems like MS-DOS and Windows to automate repetitive tasks. Batch files use .bat or .cmd extensions.

It runs on the Windows CMD and is compatible with all versions from Windows 7 onwards.

It is also compatible with Windows 95, 98, 2000, and XP, though commands like ping used for calculating "waits" may not work in those versions.

Aspir is highly scalable thanks to its compatibility with external programs and its easy-to-learn programming logic. It is typically used for simple tasks like automation and media playing, performing efficiently due to its simplicity and low system requirements.

Batch is also a great way to learn basic programming because of its simplicity. Aspir was developed entirely using Windows Notepad, as Batch does not require complex IDEs like Visual Studio.

Nowadays, Aspir includes an MP3 player, clock, a Notepad-based text editor, custom themes, and more. Aspir is open to all developers who want to program add-ons or contribute to its core development.
